I was reading in the newspaper this morning that a woman has been sentenced to two and a half years, after allowing her daughter to work for a Sydney escort service. The age of the daughter in this case, is sixteen. Here's the story:

An Illawarra mother who subjected her teenage daughter to horrible degradation by allowing her to work as a prostitute has been sentenced to 2 1/2 years' jail.

The 43-year-old woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, emailed an altered copy of the girl's birth certificate to the Liaisons Escort Agency at Edgecliff after the 16-year-old was persuaded to work as a prostitute late last year.

During her time there, the teen worked under the pseudonym Layla and participated in a variety of sexual acts with some 18 clients, many of whom were abusive and forced her to take drugs.

One slapped her face, while another pushed her against a wall and said "You're my dirty bitch", expecting her to repeat it, the court heard.

The teen had since "endured hell and back", struggling to understand how a mother could allow her child to have sex with strangers for money, a victim impact statement revealed.

"My mum, the one who was meant to have my best interest at heart, betrayed my trust and put me in danger," she said.

The statement also detailed how the girl had self-harmed – on one occasion carving the word "slut" into her leg – and had tried to commit suicide since working at the agency.

Yesterday, Wollongong District Court Judge Paul Conlon said the woman's actions constituted an "extreme breach of trust", particularly because the teen was emotionally fragile before she began working at the brothel.

"Parents have an overriding responsibility to keep their children from harm's way and to shield them from evil," he said.

"The commission of these crimes by the offender involved an extreme breach of trust … her daughter was obviously in a fragile emotional and psychological state and therefore deserving of special care and attention from her mother."

The mother had a history of depression and abuse which contributed to her poor parenting decisions, the court heard.

She also admitted to the court she felt "horrible, remorseful and ashamed".

The woman, who pleaded guilty to inciting her under-age daughter to participate in child prostitution and receiving money from child prostitution, would serve her minimum 18-month jail sentence in protective custody. She will be eligible for release in April 2012.

My question is why is the mother being punished, but the girl isn't? What doesn't appear in the above version of the story, is that the daughter asked her mother to help her get the work and that whilst the daughter received some of her pay, most of the rest went to a savings account so that they could eventually open a clothing business together.

Whilst what the mother did was shocking and irresponsible, does the fact that the daughter was the one that wanted to do it in the first place change nothing? You can say the mother did a bad job raising the girl, and in most likelyhood she did, but you cannot lay all the fault on the mother. If anything, the daughter should share some of the time with her mother.

Whilst bad parenting and stupid laws that stop people from smacking their kids is the fault for most of the bullshit that younger people do these days, there is a certain point when responsibility should be expected from these kids as well. Being 16, she must have known full well what she was getting herself into, and was unlucky enough to have a stupid person for a parent, one that allowed her and helped her to do such a thing.

What is the deal with religious people seemingly finding images of Mary, Jesus or God in everyday items and random patterns? For instance, someone has discovered an image on Google Streetview where they believe it shows God, floating in the clouds above a Swiss lake.

The image above is the supposed sighting of God. When will people learn to stop immediately thinking it is "God". Sure, it is a god… but not THE God.

The clouds are totally distorting the image as well, so that might be why people aren't seeing the real picture. If you look hard enough, you can just make it out.

That's right… it's totally Zeus and Chewbacca.

Whilst i'm on the subject of religion, I've tended to notice these large banners that seems to be hanging outside every church in town. I even saw some in another town.

I don't know about you, but doesn't that just make you think of a baseball team? What the fuck is this thing?

The supporters flag for the Bethlehem Jesuses? Why they can't just use an image of a man nailed to a big plank of wood, I'll never know.

I find a whole heap of bad porn literally every single day. I don't feature all of it here, because I am posting only the cream of the crop here. Things that just make you wince in disgust or those that leave a bad taste in your mouth. Ones that might destroy your childhood…

…which brings me to this:

Oooo-kay. Some might consider it NSFW, but I don't. This is nothing, except for the destruction of millions of cherished childhood memories.

You know how I came across this one? I found it looking through Google Images, for a photo of a man wincing in pain. Next time I might specify why he is wincing in pain.

Holy shit. Never have I ever been annoyed by a complete nobody, as much as this guy. I am sick of seeing him and that stupid meme everywhere on the internet.

Sure, it was funny at first, but when he is becoming a celebrity because he lived in a shitty area and his sister was almost raped, I think it goes too far to put him as the musical entertainment at whatever awards it was that he appeared at.

And now, people are dressing up as him for Halloween? Are you kidding me? You fucking dickheads. FUCK YOU.

Fuck me.

I've only just discovered that the CKEditor which I use for both my post editor, and the editor in the comments section of each post, that it doesn't work in Google Chrome. That is annoying.

It also seems to me that my Google Analytics isn't working properly. It keeps saying that I haven't been receiving any hits on this site at all for about two months (or roughly the time that the site has actually been on my webhosting server).

You could say that the site just isn't getting any hits at all, and that is the reason why, but then why is my Buzzfeed dashboard showing hits coming from this site? It's all very peculiar. I am finding Google to be filled with errors.

Hopefully I can find out what is going on, or perhaps install a stats mod to this site within wordpress itself.

UPDATE: Holy shit, was Google Analytics fucking up completely or what? In two days I have had over 2,500 unique IP's visit the site, and many of them are checking out at least a few pages each. All mainly because of the spider lady porn thing. I knew that shit was gold.

Sometimes it boggles my mind as to what search terms people find your website by. In this case, it is one of my BuzzFeed 'buzzes' from about four months ago. This in fact:

I know, I've featured this on Captain Xenu before, but the 'buzz' that I made over at BuzzFeed got over 30,000 views and a whole lot of badges, signifying different things.

It seems as though between last night and this morning, it got a big spike in views, about 500 in one hour, after months of dull inactivity. And strangely enough, it seems to be coming from a search term for: krystal ball racy photos.

I don't understand it either. There doesn't seem to be any way that this post is getting all of those views because of this. I even looked through Google to see at what point the page is in the listings for this search term. I couldn't find it.

I have been a member of the website BuzzFeed for some time now, and i'm finally starting to get a few of my 'buzzes' onto the front page. So whenever I post something there, I will also be putting up a longer version of the entry here on the site. Why will I have a longer version here? Because people on BuzzFeed do not seem to have much of an attention span when it comes to reading, and are only enthralled by petty images.

What this means, is that if I post a list of some sort, then I will have more detail discussing my reasons here, whilst on BuzzFeed it will have the short and simple version where I basically show people some pretty pictures. Yay!

Have I made any long versions of the recent 'buzzes' I have got onto the front page? No… because I did them each late at night in an attempt to get a bit higher up the rankings so that I could basically do one every few days and perhaps get it on the front page a bit easier.
